People use these words differently, and it’s worth being clear about what each usually means:
- A kitchen makeover is typically a lighter-touch refresh, updating finishes, doors or surfaces without changing the underlying layout.
- A kitchen remodel or kitchen renovation usually means a more substantial change, potentially including a new layout, structural work or a full replacement of cabinetry and fittings.

The Stages of a Kitchen Renovation
1. Free Consultation. We visit your home, look at the existing space and talk through what isn’t working and what you’d like instead. No obligation, no sales pitch.
2. Feasibility. We assess layout, planning and structural considerations specific to your kitchen, whether that’s moving plumbing, knocking through a wall or checking what’s realistic for the space. Even a straightforward kitchen renovation can involve changes that are worth catching early, rather than discovering them once the design stage is under way.
3. Design and Visualisation. Our in-house team produces complete 2D plans and a full 3D visualisation of your new kitchen. You see every detail, from cabinetry to lighting, before anything is agreed.
4. Fixed Proposal. Once the design is signed off, we produce a detailed, fixed-price proposal covering every element of the project. That figure doesn’t change once agreed.
5. Expert Build. Every trade involved in the kitchen renovation, from electricians to tilers, is coordinated under one contract, with Kevin as your single point of contact throughout.
6. Handover and Aftercare. We walk through the finished kitchen with you against the agreed design, and every project carries a 12-month workmanship warranty.
Do You Need a Design Fee?
If you already have architectural plans for your kitchen renovation, we can often price directly from those, with no separate design fee. If you’re starting from scratch, a design fee applies, but it comes off your final bill if you go ahead with us, and you own the design outright, free to take it elsewhere if you choose not to proceed.
